2008 Season

For this season our model rail layout has been updated, six tracks running with tram layout, new interior displays, special running days and exhibitions throughout the season. Join us with a jolly in the Kent countryside to Chatham dockyard sunday 23March. April 12th was our Model Railway Show which attracted a large number of visitors, free bus rides around the island, model rail layouts and plenty of items on sale.The interior of the museum is near completion with more vehicles up and running. After many years of hard work the LDL is now on the road for this season.Sadly with no ENPG show this  year their members have organised a event to take place at the museum on june 1st from 10.00am,stalls,displays and a touch the 1950s theme.Transport provided. Also on the same day the Bristol LS is about on a tour of essex with Rocky at the controls

The Museum is open to visits from schools, museums, etc throughout the year .

2007/2008 Season

Each year new members join our society and help us in many duties around the museum, For the 2008 Season we hope to restore some of the vehicles in the Museum this will required Skilled and Semi-Skilled persons in our restoration program.If you have a spare few hours free and like to take part then contact the Museum. We also incourage younger persons to join the Museum and help us.We have many skilled members within the Museum who would like pass on their knowledge to new members and learn about maintaining and the restoration of our vehicles and the Museum. The Museum has a high standard of Health & Safety in operation. Come to our Open Day have a look round , join the Museum be part of our team : fancy a day out on a open top bus - a visit to another museum - join us in the New Years Day Parade in London -come with us to a Carnival - help with our show - pull a bus engine to bits - or just sit at home and watch tv - theres something  for every one. Give it a try .Membership forms can be obtained from Museum or by phone or E-mail.

2007 Season

Each month some of our vehicles go to Events and Shows, so far our Flagship of the museum is the 63 year old Daimler FOP 429 which has visited the Chatham Show and Ipswich to Felixstowe Road Run. This bank holiday weekend we were at the Blackmore Village Fayre.Watch out for us at the Southend Show Sunday June 3rd.This weekend July 1st the museum will be taking some of the vehicles to North Weald look out for ONO49 back on the road again..After a 1940s day in july which proved to be very popular and a good display by all.This weekend 29th july at Waterside Farm is the Open Day and Running Day with train rides, the Museum will open and provide transport between each venue.August the 5th was a day out at the Orsett Horse & Commercial Show at the Orsett Show Ground,FOP 429 was there along with other car amd commercials.A collection of restored tractors and vintage engines.The horses and the displays in the two rings was fantastic along with many side events , This is a Show not to be missed and the museum will be there next year.Bank holiday weekend saw FOP 429 in action at the Stanford-le-hope carnival on a very hot day with crowds to greet us she came first in her class.Sept 9th at Tilbury Riverside and the Fort was a heritage day with the Museums help we brought to Bristols to there show,one was a Bristol LS 859 ETW an a Bristol L5G ONO 49.Both these vehicles along with others from the Museum will be at Show Bus this coming weekend.29th Sept FOP 429 will at the Burnham Carnival well worth a visit .Sunday 7th Oct a running day to the Ipswich Museum followed the week after is our Show.
